SDA Rd3 The Forest of Ae.

The top section was down over the rocks and onto the off chamber, through the trees across the rocky steam then the berms to step down to stump minefield to triples to the road drop. Form where the course was taped…just a little different to the normal fast hard hitting jumps. The old doubles off the road were used, well only the first one as you had to hip off it to land beyond the rock garden and utilise the left hand berm before the return to the woods. Next you hipped it off right into the trees and the tight wooded section, which was fantastic at wrap speed, left, right, left, right mind the blown out turn, left, right before being spat out into the open again…heading straight for the big stumps before the worn switchbacks.

the course was then tapped left of the stumps as you approached them and then around them via some tricky roots and rocks before pointing you eventually at the first left hand switchback.Dropping into the last but one berm at wrap factor 9 Scotty! Hit the camel table at a silly speed before the drop into the finish! For average riders it was a 2:30 run.Throught out the race day, the dust , as were those damn midges!
